Vapten OS — an operating-system-style interface for a personal AI agent
The interface I use to run my own AI assistant: command palette, approvals, a project graph, and a themeable design system. This site reuses its design language.

What it is
A browser interface for the personal AI assistant I run on my own server. It is built to make an agent usable day to day: one surface for talking to it, approving what it wants to do, and seeing what it knows.
What I built
- A layout engine with a left rail, top bar and status strip, plus three themes.
- A command palette and an approval relay, so the agent asks before it acts.
- A “Second Brain” graph that links notes, projects and files.
- A design system (colors, typography, motion, glow) that I approved from mockups; this website is built on the same system.
Why it matters
Agents need an interface a person can supervise. The approval-first design is the point: the assistant does the work and I keep the decisions.
